how it started.

prest started because i didn’t get an internship.

i still wanted to apply what i was learning as a mechanical engineering student to something real, and fingerboarding made the most sense. it combined engineering, manufacturing, and design with something i already enjoyed.

i first got into fingerboarding in middle school, then left it alone for about seven years. at the beginning of 2026, i went to a surf shop with my roommate because he wanted to buy a surfboard. i ended up leaving with a cheap build-your-own fingerboard complete.

since then, fingerboarding has basically become my fidget toy. while i’m studying, i’m usually trying kickflips between problems.

prest is where engineering, design, and that old hobby come together.
